evening all

after a small hiatus, I'm back in the game

so
16L Lidl vitafit AJ
3 x 440ml bottles Lowicz Blackcurrant
5tsp pectolase
1L strong tea (5 bag)
cider yeast with sweetener

how
empty all the juice into sanitised FV
add 2 bottles of Lowicz (keep one for priming)
add tea
top up with cold tap water to 25L
sprinkle on yeast
chuck in cupboard
temp ca. 25deg
SG 1.040
est abv once primed: round about 6%

This one's down to 1.000 and already starting to clear, so my plan is to bottle up tonight with another bottle of Lowicz blackcurrant....

pita doing 40+ bottles though - but well worth the result :)

I was a bit disappointed with the blackberry as I felt the flavour wasn't strong enough for me. The strawberry is though, it seems much stronger.

Bottling mine in 2lr bottles. With me and the kids at it a bottle doesn't last long.

Agreed, it's not the strongest of flavours mate. My last 2 X 25L batches were strawberry and lime so a wee change was in order !

This 23L lot was batch primed with 400ml syrup (@ 85g sugar content per 100ml) so about 7.5g per 500ml for a lively fizz

Now, what to make next while that's sorting itself out ??

Hmm.... first sample tonight

Fizz not quite what in was hoping and flavour a bit artificial tasting despite no added anything in any of the juices

Sure I came to the same conclusion last time I made it.. [emoji23]
