I purchased a beginners starter kit and with it came a BREWMAKER ESSENTIAL YORKSHIRE BITTER kit .

I don't want to waste it ,but would like to produce a more full bodied beer , I like slightly sweet pale bitters.

I was thinking about adding a can of coopers light malt extract to it and using s-04 yeast.

Would it be too sweet though , if so is there anything i.e. hops or hop extract I could add to it please?

wait 'til June

That would work but it's a hell of a wait to get your own brew on. You'd be better doing what you said first and substituting the sugar with the Coopers extract, Dried Malt Extract or Beer Kit Enhancer. All will give you more body than the basic kit.

Or I suppose you could just keep your kit until June and buy a better 2 can kit like a Woodfordes kit to brew now

Finally brewed this using a 1.5k can of Coopers Amber malt extract , been in the barrel 10 days and is already sparkling clear .
It tastes superb ,quite dark , just the right sweetness to my palate and not too bitter or hoppy.
It reminds me of Sharpe's Doombar or a good pint of Banks Mild (the way tasted years ago).

I've only started brewing since last xmas and it amazes me how the taste of each brew keeps changing as the beer conditions , the longest I've managed to keep any in the barrel so far is 4 weeks.
