Lighthearted question really. I have come back from Holidays (wet UK) and have not put a brew on for 4 weeks. Withdrawl has set in an i intended to put two on yesterday. BUT i have picked up some man flu... Is it safe to brew with the flu? :wha:

Yes, it's fine.

Colds and flus are viruses which infect a very narrow species range, so normal airborne transmission isn't a problem.

What you do want to do though is avoid sneezes. Just google sneeze slow motion video clips, then think about the yeasts and bacteria that live in your respiratory tract that can be aerosol'd by a sneeze. They are quite likely to be infectious to a brew.

only as long as there's no other half to see that man flu isn't as dangerous as we all make out...if they come in mid way through the brew feign death

A good point well made that man.

Well yes, particularly if it's man 'flu, that's not a real illness  just don't sneeze in the brew!
