As I no longer have a garage, I am now forced to brew outdoors for the time being.
I tried gas, but found it a right pain - particularly the wind played havoc with the flame and was hard to get an even efficient burn> And it was messy and a bit of a faff. So decided to go back to electric.
I have 2 outdoor sockets on my shed so makes an ideal location to plug in the (newly converted) boiler.
I just need to figure out a neat way to shield the elements from boilovers/weather or maybe build a small housing or canopy to shelter the boiler in case of a rain shower during the boil.

We boil outside with electric and always have done. Just pick a decent day to brew and keep an eye on the weather. We were thinking of building a canopy over the patio using a wood frame and corrigated plastic. :thumb:

That's a good idea - a kind of temporary corrugated plastic shelter for brewdays would do the job nicely to protect from the weather. Glad I am not alone/mad in using leccy outdoors.!

I also brew outdoors to avoid the condensation in the shed. I'm lucky that my little daughter has a play house/shed with a canopy :D
Another option would be a cheap gazeebo thing from the range.
