Hi all,
Well it's been a while since I posted with my concers about my first brew not going as it should and I thought I would update you on how it has gone. Happily it turns out my concerns were unfounded! In the end the brew was in primary fermentation for 10 days. I then kegged the wort and kept it in the warm for 3 days before moving it to a cooler place to condition. It has now been conditioning for just over two weeks and while not entirely clear yet it already tastes absolutely great and hopefully will get even better in a week or two! I am over the moon with the results as I didn't expect a kit ale to give such a convincing end product. Thanks for all the advice chaps, it was extremely helpful.
Next up - Woodforde's Wherry followed possibly by a BruPaks Brewers Choice dry kit or a St. Peter's Ruby Red Ale.
Cheers
Jimbo
