After successfully bottling my Nog on Sunday, I brewed a Brewferm Abbey kit on Monday. This kit produces 20 pints of dark belgian style beer @ 8%. SG was higher than i expected at 1.060 but i think thats normal for this type of kit and everything else went well and today it has a thick frothy head so plenty of activity and happy days. I used a Coopers enhancer with this kit and didnt realise id only need 500g instead of 1kg, otherwise Idve bought 2 cans of Abbey, so now Im left with half an enhancer kit which means the next brew will also be a Brewferm strong kit, possibly Diablo just cause the names cool
The down side to these kits is the recomended 6 to 8 weeks conditioning time. I dont think I can wait that long!!!! Thankfully the Nog will be ready for halloween and Ive got 20l of that to keep me going. :D  :drink: :drink: :drink: :drunk:

The only way to allow beer to condition long enough it to ensure you have loads of other beer ready to drink and take your mind off of it.

Yeah . . . It was only when I was looking at my Sig that I realised that I have 18L of Simmonds bitter in the Kegereezer that should be ready for drinking now

Sounds good Stevander... I'm going to try one of these stronger Brewferm kits too... my Tarwebier is ready to bottle, but thinking about getting another on straight away (I'm a one FV show! ). Let us know how it turns out.

Hi Stevander,

Nice choice mate, just bottled brewferm Triple, like you say just have to wait for 8 wks now, but ive plenty conditioning in the meantime, ive also tried the brewferm raspberry, got a few bottles left, trying hard to keep them for a treat, nice drop though
