I'm planning a double brewday on Saturday. Going to maybe do two 10 gallon batches, but will probably do one 10 gallon and a 5 gallon batch to try out my new mash tun.

Anyone fancy popping round?

I live in Kirkcaldy, Fife and the timings are quite flexible. I'll probably do an overnight mash on one batch to speed things along then do another brew about 12.

Might even open one of my Belgians to try??!!

Let me know if interested.

hows it going Kev? what you thinking of brewing? I'm heading through to Glasgow to watch the Scotland game on Friday night and Thistle are at home this Saturday aswell so I wont be able to make it but cheers for the offer. hope it goes well!

Probably going to do a big IPA recipe that my Brother sent me and maybe a 5 gallon Belgian Brown or a Peanut Butter Porter recipe I recently read about in a book.

Haven't decided to be honest......but it'll be massive regardless!

Would love to and would undoubtedly learn an immense amount.....

Long old trek from Bristol though :(

Hope you have a smashing brewday

Ahh Bristol. I'm a keen user of the Seven Stars.....and the Hatchet's not bad either.

Next time I'm there I'll give you a shout. Down quite a lot with work.

The Seven Stars is a smasher! :)
Wouldn't go near the hatchet if you paid me for reasons I would explain over a pint...in the Seven Stars!! :D

Live a fair way out of Bristol but work in the centre so always chance of a cheeky lunchtime beer if you're about. :)

Have a good one,

Stu :thumb:

Try the three tuns, great selection of beers and usually has three or four craft beers on as well.

Not me. As far as I'm aware, I've not met anyone from these forums. I don't get to go to the three tuns very often, just been there a bit more often recently as I've been contracting in Park Street, but that's finished now.

Ah ok... Sorry... Mixing you up with another brewer :)

Will definitely give the tuns a go one lunchtime or afternoon.

Good luck with the brew day Kev! I'm only up the road in St. Andrews and would love to come down....but I don't get many weekends off work and the missus works mon-fri so said we'd "spend time together" this weekend. I'm an extract brewer and would particularly like to see someone doing their AG brew. Maybe next time, have a good one :thumb:

No worries mate. Will post up here the next time I'm brewing.
