A while ago I was reading the topic about the non availability of the book above. I thought it would be worth buying it, so I visited my local Waterstone's in Truro hoping that they had a copy. After searching for a few minutes the assistant came up and said that he had good and bad news. The good was that they had one copy left but the bad was that some little ba###rd had nicked it.

I placed an order just in case and returned home to check Ebay. Yes, Ebay do have them on there but there was no way I was paying sixty quid. I had a call yesterday that my book had arrived so I have just picked it up ( two weeks from ordering).

This one is the third edition which is printed this year (£14.99), so if any of you fellow brewers want one, order now before they run out again.

Cheers Neil

I saw that on ebay for 60 quid - I even emailed the seller to check the price and she said it was rare. Unfortunately there are too many people who just pay those prices believing ebay to be the be-all-and-end-all for items. I bought the book second hand for a quid several years back.

On a related note - if you check that seller's other items you'll see she's selling a kiddies book for nearly two and a half million quid. I emailed her about that too - just to be a pain in the ****, but she didn't replay.

I wonder why!

Here's the other book if you'd like a laugh - email her and ask her if she'll accept a flat 2 mil

The real problem is that CAMRA keep reordering tiny print runs so that the wholesalers have none in stock to send to the retailers . . .if it happens that none are available more than once Amazon et al delist the book. . . . making it difficult to get.

Ive just recieved mine today. Ordered it from W.H. Smiths on line. Was out of stock when I ordered it on 12/5/10. Must be back in stock as it arrived today. £11.49 DELIVERED TO MY DOOR.
