I'm making my first ever beer with a Brew Buddy kit that I got for my birthday. I started it last Friday but it seems to be taking a long time. On Wednesday the hydrometer showed it was still in the black zone, it had improved last night (a week after starting) and today it just just on the boundary between black and the yellow 'bottle now' zone (1006). The instructions say bottle after three days of the same reading but they also say it takes four to six days. Assuming it has settled today then that's going to be well over the six days before I get three identical readings. Should I be worried?
I've been taking the reading directly in the 'bucket' (obviously after sterilising the hydrometer) in case that has any effect?
