Kit brewer, looking for some help, I use a pressure barrel for conditioning after first adding finnings, i use granulated sugar for primming. Have a small problem, i condition for about 3 weeks and first draw tastes "bready". Am i doing something wrong?

It's probably a bit soon to be honest.

I add sugar to the keg and leave in a warm place for 2 weeks to carbonate.

Then move to a cool place for at least a week for every 10 points of gravity.

eg. if your pre fermentaion wort started at 1.048 and finished fermenting at 1.008 then thats a difference of 40.

i.e. you need to leave it conditioning for 4 weeks after the carbonation period.

Give it a couple more weeks in the cool and have another taste.

It's amazing what another 2 weeks does to a beer's flavour.

Hope it turns out ok for you.

ps: My missus fancied you in the 70's :-)

Sounds like possible yeast taste maybe ? If so too much yeast has been moved with brew , This should settle with more time , around 4 to 5 weeks should do it .
