Sediment must be suspended within the brew as i have it in my bottles as well, i wasnt really expecting that, my FV has not moved from its posistion since starting it so as to avoid disturbing. i started syphoning from the the top and didnt stir it..i could be wrong, could this be the sugar i put in the bottles doing something and will dissapate ?... should i be able to see signs of carbonation taking place ?

That is the yeast that is carbonating the bottle, without it it would be flat beer. You won't be able to see any signs of carbonation taking place so leave it warm for 2 weeks then get it cool and drink after at least another 2 weeks
 
so that will remain there right up to day i drink it ?..it looks quite set going by the sample i left in a glass last night..tasted ok though, this is norfolk nog, will the beer clear that i will be able to see through the bottle ? or will it remain cloudy looking because of the type of ale it is ?
 
It is supposed to set at the bottom of the bottles, some yeasts can be quite loose though. you need to pour a bottle in one single smooth action leaving the yeast behind in the bottle. It should clear after some time and have nice bright beer.

Yup, just one of the quirks of home-made-bottle-conditioned beer!

My youngs lager came out with a thick sediment much like yours. As long as I poured in one motion I left it behind and had a nice clear pint. The couple I messed up on the pint was a little cloudy, slightly less crisp taste but very drinkable nontheless. Slightly worse beer farts though! :whistle:
 
Was your beer clear when it went in? If you leave it somewhere cool for a few days then bottle it there will still be enough yeast to prime the bottles but you wont get the heavy drop out of sediment. You will get some though.
