Hi. I'm about to sterilise all my beer bottles, and I was wondering do I need to brim them with sterilising solution or is half full and shaken up ok. Can I then use than solution in other bottles. And how full of beer do I fill the bottles my guess would be to the bottom of the necks.

What solution are you using?

I use starsan, don't fill completely, as long as contact is made with all the interior of the bottle. Pour out and reuse solution.

About an inch is normally an appropriate amount of head space in the bottle.

I use Videne and use the dunk, shake and drain in a bucket approach. Dunk in a bucket of solution shake them a bit then drain, you don't need to completely fill them. Videne is no rinse as is Starsan, any of the normal chlorine based ones you will have to rinse afterwards as well. :thumb: :thumb:

Where a outs can you get videne as I read a post app a week ago and I think someone mentioned getting it from boots, I went in yesterday and hey advised me they could get it but would be around £10 for 500ml, I assume there is only one type of videne?

Cheers M :hmm:
