Pleased as punch to be able to get a brew or two on today. I opted for an experimental but simple English pale ale, one with Torrified Wheat and the other with Flaked Barley. AG#1 was with 250g Torrified Wheat and AG#2 was with 250g of flaked barley:

So the grain bill was:
4500g Pale malt (super malty, smells amazing)
250g TW/FB

25g Northern Brewer @60mins
25g Fuggles @10mins
15g EKG @ 10mins

Shooting for about 23ltrs coming out at about 4.4%, AG#2 has about 30 mins left on the boil, so I'm cracking open a few home brews to celebrate...Happy Saturday all acheers. cheers
Oh, and forgot to mention, in between brews I put a DJ of Tesco Grower's Harvest apple juice TC on the go..happy days.

Hope they both turn out well, that's a lot of experimental ale!

Seriously though, it will be good to see what the difference is in head retention from each batch. Both beers should taste great with those hops.

What's your water profile like? I wonder how much water affects head retention too.
