Hi all, I've decided to make blackberry vodka for the first time this year and have just gone to strain & bottle, and have a difference in some jars.
Most of the vodka was in 4 jars kept under the stairs for 12 weeks and are a lovely dark ruby red when I brought them out.
One jar I've kept in the cupboard in the kitchen that we hardly ever go in, and is a slightly cloudy, more browny colour. It also smells slightly different, too - almost more like mincemeat for mince pies kind of smell??
All bars were sterilised well and in the same manner before use.
Any idea what has caused this? Will the cloudyness disappear upon filtering? I don't want to potentially taint what else I have that seems ok. And ultimately...missed it safe to drink??
