My favourite ever excuse for failling to deliver, and not leaving a note, I had to phone them and find out when they suposedly tried, was because when they arrived at the premises there was no one around and they could not find anywhere to leave the delivery note at 11.30am on a weekday, when I pointed out the address was a school and there were at least 1500 people on site and a manned receiption they just went quiet, then "oh well we will redeliver tomorrow then" no apology mind.

Well my father in law had to go to that end of the city so said he would pick it up
When he got there they said my parcel wasn't there but on the van
They managed to contact the driver who delivered it at 12.00 today

She looked pleased as she opened the present  then I open my mouth, " I got them from Tradefix direct, dirt cheap, I added them to an existing order and saved postage..................."

I order some stuff from Amazon and the vast majority of it turned up middle of last week, over a week late. The only thing outstanding was the kindle for the mrs, that had been ordered first! They eventually tried to deliver it on xmas eve, while I was at work, so I got a card. I did go down to the post office but unfortunately I am now unable to collect it until Wednesday. I did manage to buy a cover for it though so I'll be making up a voucher to redeem against 1 kindle on the 29th (luckily she's gone up to Manchester with her parents so I'm having a second xmas on the 28th!)

Citylink also stiched me up, waited in Monday and Tuesday after my "expedited" delviery on Saturday didn't turn up. Might as well have gone to work and saved the 2 days holiday. The weather wasn't great but I do get the feeling it's been an easy way out...
