What a bunch :x :x :x

I purchased a set of beer pumps off E Bay for the tidy sum of £30 plus £15 p&p for normal delivery 5 to 8 working days but cause I am impatient I asked the seller if they could sent it 48 hour and I would pay the extra which was £5

They were posted Tuesday so should arrive today.
My wife knows I want them to be set up for Christmas so got up at 08.00 to make sure she would hear them knock the door, wouldn’t even turn the tv on incase she missed them
09.30 finds a bl**dy card chucked on the floor outside the backdoor!!!!!
NO WAY did they knock the door!!!! Wӣ$%%$^&&*KERS

Now if I want them tomorrow I will either have to risk riding the motorbike across town in the snow and the ice or spend 2 sodding hours on the bus

aaarrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x

Breathe deeply calm calm oooommmmmmmmmmmm and relax

Yup there's a lot of stuff still in various parcel offices all over the country I would think the longest outstanding one I have is a 1st class packet dispatched on the 9th December

My mate at work took a day off to make sure he was in to take delivery of a parcel that was coming 1st class! When the postman dropped a 'sorry you weren't in' card through his letter box he ran out to meet the postman to get his package!...................... hold on to your hats for this one!

The postmans reply was 'your never in at this time of day so I didn't bother putting it in the van! you'll have to pick it up tomorrow!'

Things like this drive me insane... I always feel like I want to complain, but:
a) I'm really starting to sound like Victor Meldrew, and
b) I always hear that Monty Python line in my head... " You want to complain! Look at these shoes. I've only had them three weeks and the heels are worn right through. If you complain nothing happens, you might as well not bother."

yeap I am waiting for city link to deliver a parcel, it arrived at there network base in chelmsford on monday 6.30am to be delivered that day still no sign and they have turned the enquiries to automated message saying politely screw you, when I did finally get lucky... hmmm maybe not they just cut me off.

They offer a next day service and take next day money for it and it's been a week now, bloody cowboys. If they knew they could not deliver they should have said so and not robbed me.

We don't do parcels...ours is the big four supermarkets....but if you pay for "next day" and they don't....have you a right to claim part of your money back???? worth a try

risk riding the motorbike across town
Not sure about this one G. :hmm:
Not wishing to make excuses for anyone but those lads in the vans, annoying as they might be are under great pressures to so many deliveries a day  and yesterday was something extra. I saw a guy trying to get up a steep hill, failing and then having to reverse, slide down :? I was driving the old white Escort biscuit tin down the hill, having dropped of a delivery at the top ;)
How about taking a early Christmas drink before you go and take the bus, ;)

Perhaps the Royal Mail should take a leaf out of Santa's book....He never misses a delivery

and I'll bet some of them are still somewhere .. 'in transit'

I rebooked a delivery that never then turned up. Emailed royal mail ( after some time trying to find out how to contact them ). After about a week I got an email saying that as soon as they received mine they checked the sorting office and it wasn't there........

The odd thing was, about 30 mins before I received that final reply my wife had popped down to aforementioned sorting office and picked it up :wha:

Why not see if this system operates near you......?????
http://www.parcelpickup.co.uk
You register online & select you local agent, when you parcel is delivered to them you get an automated text & email, then pick the parcel up when you want to..............
It only cost a couple of quid & the there is no more messing about with 'We put a card thro your door/ we knocked but nobody answered etc etc' prats.
Works well in my area.

I'm expecting a few small bits through the post which haven't turned up yet, but it seems to be a bit 'hit and miss' as to where you are.
Would you beleive I posted a small packet on Tuesday, second class, Manc to Brum, and it was there on Thursday am
Two Royal Mail artics jack knifed near us last week, and from that point on, even the posties weren't allowed out, even on foot. You've gotta be patient, but that doesn't apply to some of the posts above :(

EDIT...and oh yes, I forgot, Lidl and Morrisons hadn't got their free range bronze Turkies at all. The guy on the counter said they were stuck in a central depot and he didn't know when they'd arrive. Even worse he had 300 pre orders and he didn't even know if they'd be able to cover those as he'd been told there was a shortage......you wouldn't be happy if you were one of those who didn't get one

Just had a delivery for zafira parts that I ordered two days ago, Royal mail, economy class.

Mrs Mc's present is still out there somewhere, ordered two weeks ago, so better get to the shops
