Hi All

Has anyone done a beer just using a lot of hops at the 15 minute addition to get the bitterness and flavour?

That certainly looks a bit more sensible than the other guys total disregard for hops  I did think it made a nice beer, definitely a smoother bitterness but in the case of the beer i made, it's hard make a case for using 100g of hops per 10L of beer  When you brewing that one james?

Everything going according to plan, Sunday.

Haven't brewed at home since the forum brew and I'm starting to itch.

Have you picked up an infection from your mash tun that you haven't cleaned out from the last time that you brewed

Yes. Must get round to cleaning that tonight.

Mash on!

it was all going to plan until I realised that I didn't have any cascade. Had to run out and get some

No photos today sorry.

I'd finished and was sat in the pub when you asked that ;)

Spot on. 23l at 1045 (as my QBrew suggested, not the recipe calculator).

Spilt 30g of expensive Cascade over the floor  but apart from that, it was all fine.

Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out actually. It smelt absolutely fantastic as I was putting it into the fermenter.

I did one at 18 mins to get the bitterness up and not use too many more hops
here

It is great, I only had 125g so used it all not like that 500g monster of AT's

Just had a cheeky snifter.

WOW.

Cloudy as buggery though (first time I've used US05), then I remembered that I'd run out of finings when I racked it off. Popped out to get some and they're in now.

Also glad I decided not to dry hop, there's certainly no need to.

Couple of weeks this will be a cracking beer. Got a couple of bottles too, to prove my argument with another brewer about his wishy washy cascade pale

[Moved to Brewdays now]

Doing this one again today as it went down so well. Run out of yeast though so I'll be using the old faithful S-04.
