Started on Sunday afternoon, a youngs bitter kit, i did lower the volume to 34ish pints, i also tweaked the sugar a little (more) and slipped in a tiny bit of yeast nutrient, and a tiny pinch of high alcohol yeast.

The first few days it was very very violent!! :P

over the past few days it has slowed and seems to have almost stopped, it said seven days in the leaflet, although thats only a suggestion.

It has only been 5 days, it smells good, and looks good, i havnt took a reading yet, i am toying with the idea of giving it a stir, try to wake it up. :hmm:

thats finished fementing now then. ive done a couple of youngs bitter kits and the FG was 1.004.

if your going to bottle it nows a good time.

i reckon that might have to wait til 2moro!! got an early start, and the bottles aint sterilized yet!! sounds like a job for after work 2moro afternoon!!

the lager kit i done i left for around ten days as advised, are there any advantages of bottlin immediatly after fermentation has finished??

cheers

jon

It is nicely clear, and in a nice high up place for bottling, i may leave it for a couple more days!?

just have a couple of bottles of the lager i did to finish off.

unfortunatly due to a lack of glass bottles i'm using 2ltr fizzy drink bottles, is it half a teaspoon per pint of sugar to prime?? would that mean 3.5 tsp per 2ltr bottles, my maths is ****!!
