Ok here's the first review of the Big Kenny forum brews
muddydisco's Big Kenny
Firstly apologies for the poor phone picture
As usual with md's beers the bottle was well presented with a cracking label
Although the beer was supplied bottled bright from the keg it opened with a good hiss and poured well to give a satisfactory head which lasted a third of the way into the beer.
There was still enough carbonation to see beads of CO2 rising through the very clear mahogany coloured beer.
The initial aroma was a slight hop spiciness followed by a Christmas pudding fruitiness.
The initial flavour is big malt sweetness followed with a very smooth hop bitterness and a pleasant dried fruit finish.
There is a lingering pleasant bitterness.
I liked it :thumb:
