For those of you who have been put off Cam & Groove because of the restricted flow in the Part C connection. Mark at Homebrew Builder has got in a stock of big bore 1/2" version. No restriction in flow. 20mm ID v 8mm ID. The only down side is the silicone tube needed. The OD is 24 mm so Vossy's pipe doesn't fit. It needs 22mm to get a snug fit.

Update. With a bit of vegetable oil and brute strength I managed to get Vossy's tube over the big bore tail, so no need to get different size tube. As it's a tight fit it probably doesn't need a hose clip. Unless you are putting it to a lot of pressure.

Is this for inadequate pumps Bob :wha: I've never felt restricted by the smaller bore of my cam locks (standard Bore) but then again I use pumps up for the job. The only time I've ever felt restricted is by my own impatience when transferring liquor to the mash tun but at 15ltr/min+ it doesn't take that long....I must be missing something :hmm:

I think I'll try the big bore for the kettle to chiller, sans pump . . .it makes a significant difference under gravity
