I use brewers friend priming calculator to work out how much sugar to use for batch priming at bottling.

My most recent brew was ‘cold crashed’ (a first for me) and was about 41/2 degC when bottled.

The calculator has an input for beer temperature which I filled in. As a result I only had to add about 60gm of sugar rather than the 100gm I normally add (when the beer isn’t ‘cold ctashed’

Is this right????

I suggest that you read the item below the Calculator that is indicated by the * in the main text.

It points out that if a brew has been Cold Crashed you have to use "your own judgement" and that priming at fermentation temperatures makes life easy! (I just knew there was a reason why a lazy sod like me did that!)

Enjoy!:gulp:
