Hi all
Particularly worrying scam doing the rounds, worrying becuase it means someone has been selling private information - including full addresses. The following email arrived at my work address and there are only a few companies whom I have ordered from where I've asked for work delivery. A couple of them are brewing ones (although I really can't believe they would sell on!)

I've checked this out and the IP is registered in New York but it has a Belgian address; I have not visited their site... Beware, from what I can discover, I believe the scam involves asking for a small amount of money but they take a lot more than that from your account! Email comes from: [email protected]. The stars were my address!

A couple of years back swmbo had some dodgy transactions after using her card to pay for taxis when in scotland on business. Strangely, quite a number of extra fares were charged to her card in the months that followed. Its not just buying online that the problem.....

Worrying thing is, the police effectively say that this is the bank's problem and the banks regard these losses as so small as to be hardly worth bothering about......
