Doe anybody on here have any experience of using a better bottle carboy for maturing a beer in for a long time (6 months-ish)
I've just acquired one and cleaned it up and i want to do a recipe for a whisky oak aged stout ready for christmas that needs around 6 months to sit on the white oak that i've already had soaking in a cheap bottle of scotch for 6 months. I've looked on their website and it says about no flavours or aromas from it and all the other high grade food plastic stuff......but i still don't know whther to trust it for that long, especially with it beign a bit of a high effort almost "tantric" beer.
