I've got a FV full of Youngs Amber Ale which has been in the beer fridge (in the garage) at 20 Deg for 17 days, hopped 3 days ago.

What's the best preparation for bottling, which I'll probably do inside?

Move it in tonight and let it stand for a day to settle?

Turn the fridge down to 5 Deg for a couple of days first?

How do I get it to clear the best?

Thanks for any pointers.

Stick it in a fridge as cold as you can without it freezing for a couple of days, then bring it back up to room temp for priming. The sediment will form a dense cake at the bottom of the FV and with a bit of practice you can recover just about all the beer without hoovering up any crud.

I've taken advantage that the shed is cooler than the house with my last 4 or 5 brews.

I generally move my fv 24 hours before bottling then siphon onto my priming sugar in my bottling bucket.

I cold crash for about a week to make sure the beer is pretty clear and to prevent chill haze. I then siphon into a bottling bucket that has been batch primed and bottle from there.
