Hi All,

I'd like to know peoples favourite place (online) to buy raw ingredients please. I need a place that has it all with a good selection.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

First place has to go to http://www.thehomebrewcompany.co.uk, especially with the forum member discount too! The Minch Hook Head pale malt is, without doubt, excellent malt and excellent value too.

Second place goes to https://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/index.html as they do a really excellent variety of hops, with some fantastic prices. You won't find some of the hops they sell anywhere else for example.

Third place, probably shared between https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk (malts are a bit expensive, but next day shipping via DPD wins if you are in a rush) and https://www.geterbrewed.com (Parcel Force, not a good choice of courier...).

Honorary mention for Brew UK https://www.brewuk.co.uk, mainly because if you can't find something anywhere else, you can usually find it there...

The home brew company is in Ireland, and so it geterbrewed. Both are fantastic, and geterbrewed is very good value for money.

Aye, but they have a land border with the UK in the form of Northern Ireland, and ship to the UK, so I lump them in.

I go to the homebrewshop.co.uk they are friendly well priced and 2 miles away from my house

OK, so I am going to give yet another recommendation for the Worcester Hop shop, as it is my go-to supplier.

Fairly limited range, with a focus on English style beers. These are the ones I make all the time, except for that irritating summer period when a Belgian yeast is most reliable.

They do also sell Huell Melon and Hallertau Blanc, which together make a very good pale ale indeed. The most recent one was drinkable straight from the fermentor last weekend! Definite hints of melon.

The AG kits are mainly from the GW book, from which there are several I would recommend - in particular Summer Lightening and Old Peculiar.

The malt miller, good selection and rob is an extremely nice bloke, or art-of-brewing is worth a look

I would recommend the Malt Miller as they have the best customer service I have seen. A little pricey on certain items but there is a really good range of quality products.

+ another 1 for Malt Miller - a little pricier than others, but best quality ingredients I have found, and top rate service

I use almost all the places already mentioned...

BrewUk can be more expensive but huge range, I often use them for equipment.
GetErBrewed are great for ingredients. I really like that they started using paper bags for grain, I try to minimize single use plastics and the bags make great fire lighters. Huge range and good prices too.
TheHomebrewcompany have the cheapest kegs, wasnt impressed by the packaging but none have been damaged. Their hookhead malt is great value too.
TheMaltMiller depending on what I need, sometime they have what others dont.

not great for allrounders but crossmyloof does good hops and less good malt deals.
the homebrew company is good for sure, malt miller is good for smaller quantities.
