The best (and most appropriate) promotion of Watneys beer that I have ever seen was some graffiti on the wall in a pub not far from Hatfield where I was living at the time. It showed a large arrow on the wall next to the drain from the urinal pointing towards the Watneys Brewery

There can only be one advert for me. It made me want to 1) surf, 2) play guitar and 3) drink Guinness. I'd like to go back and tell my younger self that although I now regularly do all three, my own sons way outstrip me at all of them.
Watching again, it clearly aired before 1983, after that I wouldn't have seen past the bikinis.
