Hi folks,
I have in my brewery store a collection of Ben Shaws or Corona bottles of 1984ish vintage. They have served me well over the years and I’d like them to keep going a bit longer if possible. The original metal cap are long gone and they’ve been fitted with replacement cap and seals. I’m looking to replace these caps and seals but local (Yorkshire area) suppliers say they have seen such things in a long time and internet searches yield no results.
Do any esteemed members recognise what is shown in the enclosed pictures and know where there are any to be found? All information and suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks,

JCO

Why not give Youngs a call tomorrow morning?
*****************************/contact-usI don't lnow why it keeps blanking out but it's:

But you'll have to strip the spaces out.

Have you tried a wine bottle screw cap on them? if they do fit there is a replacement done by a company that is called NovaTwist that can be used several times, a few members use them for their wine bottles

An Ankoù,
I had a look on the Youngs website. They don’t show the caps or seals as products they stock any more. No harm in giving them a ring though - they may be able to find a box which has slipped down the back of a cupboard somewhere.
Thanks for the reply.

Baron,
I tried your suggestion but the hard glass thread just stripped the internal thread on the cap and there was not enough room for a rubber seal. Still, it meant our Lass had to finish her bottle of wine so that was ok.
FWIW, Tesco own brand lemon juice and lime juice bottles have caps which will do the job - and have space for a seal. I just need to sup my way through 20 bottles to have enough to replace my existing caps. At least I won’t get scurvy any time soon.
Thanks for the reply,
JCO
