I was in my local home brew shop yesterday asking about sugar to use for priming and can't for the life of me remember if the owner told me it was ok to use granulated beet sugar to prime PVs or if he said not to? I bought a bag of sainsburys granulated sugar which it says is beet but don't want to use it if it's not suitable?
Thanks.

Well it's labelled as granulated sugar but on the back in small print it says it's beet sugar?

Beet sugar is fine for priming. It's also used a lot in Belgian ales too, believe it or not.
