Hate the gits. Second only to wasps. Agree though we would be buggered without them.

I vaguely remember something on the idiot box years ago about a Vineyard/Orchard/Orange Grove's crop completely failing because the local bee population was killed of. I cant remember why though. Something like a nearby fire that wiped out a load of beehives, or something along those lines.

Done.... :thumb:

very few around so far this year in my local area.

But a big female bumble bee makes a hell of a noise flying in and out of a large empty 100 liter stainless pot !
Frightened the life out of me...

Done!
I kept bees for years when I was younger and had a bigger place with more land.
I am aiming to start keeping them again in the very near future (moving house...again....). Believe it or not its even more therapeutic than brewing your own booze!

Well done guys! Thanks!

It annoys me when perfectly good science gets ignored...

...no one is saying that these chemicals are categorically to blame but there are strong links and good lab evidence. Yes more needs to be done to prove it outright but in the meantime the wellbeing of the bee population really does hang in the balance.

Hugh Fearlessly-Eats-it-all did a brilliant job with FishFight and got the idiots in Brussels to make real changes to something horribly wrong that we just don't see. It's time to do it again for bees which actually will be a lot more visible to us if we don't sort it out.
