Hi all,

Have a bit of a noob question. I got through the post 3 beer taps today as I want to set two of them up in the kitchen.

They are those plastic taps you see in most pubs. one of them has a shank on (San miguel tap) and the other two don't (Stella).

I got them from ebay (Item number: 170587732083(No good with links)) The thing is how to I connect piping to them? I assume I want 3/8 pipe which I can get easily. Just don't see how it connects.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Looks like the other two have shanks, just small ones.

Have you got better photos of the back ends?

I suspect that they're push fit and you just push the right diameter tube into the back of them. Is there a collet there?

EDIT: Or it might be that they need to screw into a shank or holder. I've got a few taps like that. You might be able to do something with BSP fittings. I vaguely remember bodging something up like that once when I couldn't find my party tap.

Fancy measuring the size of the hole at the back where the tube pushes in? Looks like 3/8" to me, but I could be wrong.

You just push the tubing in and it should "lock" in place. To get it out again, push down the collet and pull the tube out.

I'll find my vernier gauge later and give them a measure. On the black ones without the metal shank it doesn't seem like you could push anything in to release the tube if needed. I'll try get some tube to match so I can give it a try. Thanks for the help = )
