That's the best thing I've read this week.

A few years back at work we sponsored a team in the British Superbike Championship and obviously had a few corporate jollies to races. In the corporate tent, someone booked those two clowns to come and "entertain" people and give this cooking demonstration. We absolutely crucified them. That Dave saw his arse about the mickey taking and legged it, leaving Si to take the heat. It was brilliant.

Decent watch if you like to watch annoying non-historians scrape the surface of the story of the Civil War whilst dressing up and acting the fool. Not so good if you have an interest in beer or pubs really. There was one interesting section where they talked about how that pub was used as a makeshift hospital, but that was it really.

Really hope the rest of the series is better.

I thought the series was supposed to be about pubs, not historical re-enactments. :-? Interesting-ish.. but not what I was watching for!!

I got bored of watching them cooking stuff. they literally cook a stew every week. They even cooked a stew for a tribe in africa once..

watched it last night on iplayer, thought it was alright as far as the history side of things went. rather a let down on the beer side of things tho :-o
