noticed 'bargain brew', 'geordie' and 'brewmaker premium' beer kits on ebay while having a look through the items, they are all a bit cheaper than the coopers kits, and most other kits ive heard of like the woodefords and black rock etc, has anyone tried these ones or are they cheap for a reason? ie they taste like a tramps armpits?

I tried a Geordie Lager kit a while ago, I'd have gladly licked a tramps armpit to get rid of the taste of this lager. It was a while ago before I really knew what I was doing (not that I know that much now) so it may have been me doing something wrong

Personally I think that you get what you pay for . . .The best kits for me have always been the more expensive ones, and particularly the ones with the longest Best By End dates

I was doing Geordie kits last year and there awful compared to Coopers and premium kits, I'd even say Youngs kits are better
If I had to do kits again I'd happily do premium two can kits

I did the woodfordes Wherry best bitter as my first ever home brew and I have to say it is lovely, it wasn't the cheapest in wilkinsons but I'd say it's well worth the money from what I've managed to produce
