Wile bottling my beer I found a beer fly in the bowl of beer caps, lots off starsan
What do you think

If it died I a bowl of star-san then hopefully it's fine.

I'd probably want to change it for some fresh stuff but hopefully it's done what it's meant to.

I've got fruit flies everywhere at the moment. So doing anything with my beer I cover everything with clingfilm, just draped over so the little bu&&ers can't get in but you can easily enough.
It's a pain though.

I had a few last year and made a trap, it did the job.

star san zaps bacteria, so you're ok.

in work we have uv insect killers to stop the fruit flys. guess what? no fruit flies killed in there

so plan b is to cling film all the fresh fruit....

ooops someone's not put the clingfilm back after them :nono:

Way too much hard work.

Jam jar, plastic bag, rubber band or cable tie, cider vinegar (recommended) or in my version ridena, 1 x table spoon of sugar, half a glass of rose wine and last but not least a drop of washing up liquid to break the surface tension so the little buggers cannot land on the surface, they drown

Oh and something sharp (pen/pencil) to pierce the plastic bag to allow the little sods in.

I used to culture and feed the little buggers to my 8 praying mantises!

Get some houseplants with a nice robust species of praying mantis on them haha! Say......Hierodula Membrenacea?
