Do we really need to live in a world where everything bleeps?

Most of it unnecessarily. It's no longer an alarm, its attention seeking.

Last week I have the misfortune to have a loan car. FFS a winner by a country mile..

Beep beep speeding
Beep beep radio volume up
Beep beep speed limit change
Beep beep seat belt
Beep beep Lane position
Beep beep cruise on
Beep beep volume up
Beep beep cruise adjust
Beep beep speed sign change
Beep beep radar
Beep beep phone charging

You ignored some of them didn't you... Yeah so did I.. F thing.

Its all getting too much.
Who decides what's important enough to require a beep?

Cus when it beeps for the engine is falling apart, your just going to ignore it.

Same with who thought it was a good idea to have a touchscreen control in the car to distract the driver.

Irony is had you spoken this, your last comment would have been beeped out.
I do like the pretty little tune our washing machine plays when it's finished the cycle though:D

Brew more beer

You want to have a steering wheel that vibrates when you are too near the white lines of lanes too.
A very weird sensation plus the beeps

Once you have a single touch screen in the car, running everything through it is far cheaper than individual switches for individual operations. It's done to keep the cost down rather than it being a better driving experience

I have a single beep set if i go 3 mph over the speed limit it has probably saved my licence from getting a few points over the years.

Mine has an annoying voice that says ‘You are over the speed limit’ much to the amusement of passengers.
Only problem is, it’s 50 metres out. So accelerating to a higher legal speed after clearing the lower limit, it annoyingly kicks in. It does make my mission in life to quieten the voice.

Mine does that but not until 6 mph over the limit I think it depends on where you have the beep I mentioned above set

My wife is impervious to the beep. I can be in the back paddock and able to hear the microwave beeping for an age, it doesn't bother her. Same in the car she sometimes doesn't put her seatbelt on. The constant beep drives me mad, not her. I have given up pulling over and telling her to put it on. I brake hard and swerve to get her to put it on. The best one is coming up to a traffic island is to say, I am going to try a maneuver on this island, I have seen it done on a carton but I reckon I can do it.
