Hi again, I'm looking for a bit of info again, i have racked my brew off in to a keg, put the sugar in for the secondary fermentation, and left in the warmest place i have which is an unheated bedroom, but next to the boiler for three days.
I have just drained a bit in to a cup to check it and the Larger did froth a bit, but not like it does in the pub and the head did not last long either, so does that mean that the secondary fermentation is not yet complete?

Thanks.

Hi PH

Simply put, its no-where near ready yet. You might want to leave it where it is for another couple of days and then put it somewhere cool to let it continue to condition and absorb the CO2 and also clear. Head retention will develop with the conditioning.

Aleman mentioned this on one of the threads a couple of days ago. The general rule is a weeks conditioning for every 10 points of OG. So if your beer started off at 1040 you would be thinking about a minimum of 4 weeks to come into its best.
