CB radio huh? That's a blast from the past but there's some dude down the road still into all that and the ham radio thang. Got an aerial which must be 4 times the height of the house it's strapped to. Even got lights on it I jest not, presumably to stop low-flying jet liners crashing into it.

Signal from transmitter:

Freeview signals are broadcast in groups, known as Multiplexes. It’s not uncommon for one or two multiplexes to be broadcast on reduced power. This is particularly common during the 2008-2012 Digital Switchover. You can find out if your local transmitter is operating on low power, or if there is transmitter work ongoing using the BBC Transmitter Information Tool http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/
@Chippy_Tea
Do you get crap reception from TV stations grouped in the same multiplex?
In my area all the the BBC stations seemed to be grouped on one multiplex BBCA, except BBC1HD and BBC2HD which are on multiplex BBCB with ITVHD and others.
This is useful for checking aerial multiplexes and transmitters.

Thanks Gerryjo, i will just put up with it as i have for years, we live in the lake district so overcast days are the norm here if it was the T.V i watched all the time i would fix it (probably with a hammer) but its only for half an hour in a morning so no real problem, to be honest as my tablet has an adjustable kick stand built in a don't know why i bother to turn it on.

I used CB radios and sideband units years ago and always found it easier to talk to someone in Cornwall,France or even Canada than it was to someone within a 10 mile radious and all due to atmospheric conditions.
Similar thing happened to Tony Hancock in 'The Radio Ham' :lol:
