Banana bread beer-anyone tried this?

i would certainly secondary them if possible to get plenty of flavour out. banana bread is made with wheat beer yeast as banana flavour is a massive side product at the right temperature - you can spice it with stuff like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice too. go for an inoffensive malty english ale recipe, fuggles and goldings, very little bitterness...or a wheat beer recipe. the well's version also uses banana extract, not sure how you'd get it though...
 
It is the dogs dagglies as far as dehydrators go. I have used it to make beef jerky, dried fruit, dried veg etc.
All good stuff, but I have a hankering to try a malting in it. Just don't tell my wife... It is her dehydrator :lol:
 
Oh wow, I'd love to see how this turns out. I think wells do their own don't they? I seem to remember it being quite a nice drink!
