So took SWMBO to the 'effin Moscow ballet tonight. Not exactly my idea of a night out but thought I'd best do something she wanted as seen as I'm always dragging her up hills, out into the woods geocaching or into dark pubs. Actually quite enjoyed it, had to respect the talent and athleticism of both the men and women. However the men all wear incredibly tight tights, you could literally see the entire outline of their entire package and arse. They might as well have been naked from the waist down. Being in the second row didn't help! Apart from that it was quite good, I would go back but only if there are any 30 minute ballets....3 hours is ridiculous.
Managed to get my way a little bit, SWMBO wanted to go for a fancy "pre-theatre" meal but I managed to convince her that pub grub was the way to go! I knew there was a Whetherspoons I used to frequent in my student days round the corner from the theatre that had a good selection of casks. Bacon BBQ Burger AND a pint of Abbot Ale for 6 quid...cannae argue with that value! Then I got a pint of their guest ale for 1.99 :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
