Now then gentlemen.

It's one of the hottest sweatiest days of the year and I'm off for the snip...

Any other "Decommissioned" men have any tips for me and my swift recovery?

I remember my dad saying his swelled up like a coconut and he had crutches. But he may well have used a local farmer instead of a doctor.

And another mate paid for a general anesthetic so he was out for the whole thing. Coward!

I had it last year, was fine felt dull aches in my abdomen for a week or so after.. just wear tight boxers and you will be fine

It's mildly amusing watching your nuts turn most of the colours of the 🌈 a snug pair of y fronts will help re comfort and be careful when peeing them off just in case.

Michael Scott character from the US version of The Office, arguing with his girlfriend at a dinner party:
"When I said that I wanted to have kids, and you said you wanted me to have a vasectomy, what did I do? And then, when you said that you might want to have kids, and I wasn't so sure, who had the vasectomy reversed? And then when you said you definitely didn't want to have kids? Who had it reversed back? Snip, snap! Snip, snap! Snip, snap! I did! You have no idea the physical toll that three vasectomies have on a person!"

I worst pain was afterwards, a couple of weeks later my wife got frisky, I was left in really bad pain.

I think I jumped on the bike a but too early as well. Kept getting this pulling feeling from the incision area.

The total pain in the arse was the post OP tests. Nearest place for testing was an hour away, the sample has a shelve life of an hour. Had to go back 3 times because my gp didn't like the results

I had it done years ago.............sitting in the waiting room shaking with nerves listening to the soft music trying to stay calm when what song comes on......................."First cut is the deepest"

Worst part was sticking the needle in for the local.. anyone who doesn't like or is scanred of needles this will make you wince..

Oh and the fact my girlfriend was in the room throughout the whole thing.

I had to post my results off... which is weird

Aha Leon, jumping on the bike rather than your other half was the big mistake. If You needed to get away from the other half quickly you should have taken the car instead ;)

I got mine at Marie Stopes clinic in London about 40 years ago. The doctor said "This may feel like a kick in the goolies" I actually didn't feel a thing. Two hours later I was in the pub having a couple of beers.

I've not had it done, but my mate said he could smell bacon all day afterwards.
Thats exactly what it is! But not proper bacon... Its more like smoky bacon crisps.
I'm both hungry and disgusted..

I had mine done about twelve years back with this gorgeous nurse at my side whilst the consultant and his assistant who was the dragon carried on regardless. Was sore for about a week then all good for six months when I started getting pains like I was getting cut with a knife which turned out to be ghost pains and need a course of Amitriptyline to get rid but funny I never ever gave a sample and no for sure I'm firing blanks..

Having it done hurt despite the local anesthetic. Recovery was straightforward though.
I had a bit of a painful tugging feeling whilst he was doing the lefthand side. The doctor wasn't that bothered about my concerns though...

A 3 year old and a 7 month old and being in our 40s means that it'll probably be more than a couple of weeks before I get lucky...

I've been given a sample pot and a first class stamped box to put it in. So I guess techniques have changed or I've got super powers...
