Well just to the left of that is a little image like a page. Hover your mouse over it then right click. You should get a menu popup and in that menu you should see something like "copy link address".
Do that then in here when posting you click on the button just below the subject box that says URL
That will insert [ URL][/ URL] (but without the spaces I have included)
In between the ][ type the word you want people to click on e.g. ]click here[
Then after the first URL, type = and then paste the link you copied earlier (if you right click again there should be the option to "paste" in the popup menu.
e.g.
[ URL=http:// http ://www. thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=274696#p274696]click here[/ URL]
(again without the spaces I have added to stop if being converted to a link)
