Just racked my first WOW: SG 1.088, FG 0.990 and would like to get it from dry to medium dry.
I have Youngs Wine Sweetner but dont know how much to use to get it to medium dry... anyone have any idea?
OR does anyone know another method I can use: I am off work tomorrow so i can shop if need be.

How much did you start with and how much have you got after racking?

Supposing you made 5 litres and now have 4.5, you could top up with half a litre of white grape juice. That would probably have the desired effect regarding sweetness but would dilute your 13.3% abv to 12%.

Otherwise, boil some sugar in a small volume of water, cool the pan in a sink of cold water and add the sugar syrup to your wine. If you've got 4.5 litres you would need about 65g of sugar to bring that to 0.995 (medium-dry) or 125g for a medium wine (1.000), you need no more than 100ml of water so your alcohol dilution is reduced.

I have never used a Wine Sweetener from the HBS so I can't advise on quantities, and I believe they also contain glycerine so should be used sparingly.
