Because of my reckless holidaying this year (had to move house and go to several weddings) I didn't leave myself with enough holidays to take my usual 2 weeks off at Christmas. So I'm back at my desk this morning in an empty office. Which is why I am on here wishing you all a happy new year instead of working!! I'll be nipping off early as well. Might do this every year, save my leave for when I would actually have to work if I was in the office.

Anyone else back to business as usual?

Me too. Supposedly had a client comming in but he has called in sick. Got some quotes to do, a spread sheet to design and a bit of framing to do, but apart from that my time is my own. :P

Yep, I'm back today and really wish I had booked today and tomorrow off (I did think about it a few weeks ago but decided against it  )

I've been off from 18th, and go back 2nd. With a 10 week old baby, I'm looking forward to going back for a break ;-)

finished on 20th...back today to answer a few emails for my proper job...I've sorted out my brewing schedule for the year and sourced and contracted the hops...Cascade, Citra and Galaxy...Hmmm might be a few hoppy ones then...Ive got 50 kg to get through this year...EEK

my last shift was the 18th and not back till the 6th , I could get used to not working I've not been bored once but drank a hell of a lot of beer.

Back on the 6th of Jan
I need to win the lottery...

the way my contract is zero hours (if i ever get to see one) my last shift was the 20th then no work for 2 weeks they called me on the 23 to do a shift but i was away seeing friends. then i get 2 calls today one for a newyears day thats fine but then a call at 7 tonight to do a graveyard(10pm-6am) on my own. not done one before and iv had a few pints and im not driving the 15 miles for 6.80ph. they words "are you sure you cant" :nah: :nono:

good job in looking for a new one

Zero hours suck and should be banned. Surprised this govt haven't brought back child labour as well. Although that might be a good thing for some I know. Been off from 23rd to 2nd. Good luck with your search in 2014 Iceo.

They would, if the EU would let them.

I'm not exactly Europe's biggest fan, but I can only imagine what Labour and the Tories would have done to this country over the last 30 years if we weren't members.

Ive done 3 x 12 hour shifts since christma....just finished now (2100hours till 7th January......
