AG BIAB No 6 being brewed outside - bl..dy freezing!!

4 kg Maris Otter
500g Pale Crystal Malt
375g Dark Crystal Malt
25g Challenger - 60 mins
15g Challenger + 10g EKG + Irish Moss - 15 mins

30g EKG at Flameout

Ryhydrated Nottingham Ale Yeast

The first 5 have produced excellent beers, better by far than any kit I have ever brewed. Really worth freezing your bits off for!!

Looks like a nice, relatively simple recipe and the sort of thing I'm going to do next. :thumb:

Stand close to the pot!

Did you get any chill haze in your first 5 batches, with just a 60 min boil? (assuming you chilled to serve). I'm considering extending to 90 mins after getting chill haze in my first two AGs, for what it matters.

Hi Everybody, thanks for the replies. No real problems with haze but clarity has improved markedly since I bought a wort chiller. I don't serve my beers chilled, just drunk at cellar temp about 50 degrees C, I'm lucky, I have a walk in pantry which stays cool all year.

I keep my bottled bitter under the decking of my lodge so it gets COLD!!! this weather and come in with a haze. I leave it at room temp for a while and the magic transformation to crystal clear happens!
