ThisPadding them out will make the beer really watery.
You could get two and make 20l batch.
That’s handy - I’ve been thinking about doing a small batch sour/lambic for ages but have been put off by the price of demi johns for what is effectively a one-off project.I was in a B&M yesterday and saw the bottles, FV (10 litre I think) and such like but did not notice any kits. There was a box that said you could make beer but pretty sure it said it was ready within 24 hours....
Just been on the website, looks like it’s The Range” stuff rebranded. FV, thermometer, syphon and sanitiser for a tenner looks decent value.Worth a look at their website, 12 brown 500cc swingtop bottles for under£10 seems ok. And the beer kits look like a rebranded Mangrove Jack box.
Pity they don't sell grain :cheers7:
B&m are selling kits for 7.99 each but they're only for 10 litres. Has anybody given these a go? Can i pad them out with anything to make them 25 litres for my fermentation bucket?
Any details on the yeast? (Guessing a 6g silver pack)

Edit - just been on the B&M and The Range websites and it looks like the same stuff but cheaper. Swing top bottles £9.99 compared to £12.99 in the Range, FV starter kit £9.99 compared to £19.99 (although athe Range version has a plastic paddle which the B&M one doesn’t seem to). Kits seem the same but half the size - £7.99 for 10L compared to £17.99 for 20L so still cheaper to get 2 B&M kits than 1 from The Range.

No it doesn't but I had some lying around so it didn't matter. I would say that if the b&m kits come with everything then it's definitely a bargain. May try then next.I presume that's not including the additional dextrose though? I know it's not mega expensive but it's included in the b&m kits
Cheers. Tom
