Hi all,

Thought I'd pop in and introduce myself since I came accross the forums while searching for some info on homebrew. Anyway, my name's Pete, and I stay on the outskirts of Glasgow. My missus got me a Beaverdale Shiraz wine kit for my birthday last year which was something I allways fancied trying and I finally got round to putting it together earlier on this year. To my surprise it turned out really quite nice. It's taken me a few months to put the next one together but after getting a whole load of rhubarb from my old dears garen Icurrently have a 5 gallon batch of rhubarb wine 2 days into the primary fermentation and looking good so far , even after an initial H2S scare which got sorted after splashing it down. Turns out I put the air lock on too early!

So that's pretty much my experience so far, but I'm already planning my next one! Other than that I'm into sea fishing, gaming, photograpghy and martial arts but I normally have a.few.projects going at the same time

Welcome wee Pete. although with an interest in oh sorry you said martial arts....( read it as marital) :D

Welcome to the forum a good strong section of wine makers and wino's you will find on here. Levels of expertise for all, so don't be frightened of posting a question or asking for any advice.
The beer section is also quite good with everything from quickie ciders to full blown beer mashings.

again welcome.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm from Uddingston, and not too fussed about footy!
