Hi All

New to this. Have a general enjoyment of all drinks and a love of gadgets/hobbies. Had often considered homebrewing but never got round to it....alas, a recent conversation with a friend and Google has brought me here.

I know nothing other than the need for ingredients, equipment and time so will be having a look around and suspect I will have plenty of questions.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, looks like you are in the right place, enjoy having a good look around and ask any questions athumb..

Welcome. I’m a Newbie too. I just started in December. I’ve made 2 beers and a Pinot Grigio so far. 3rd beer is fermenting away. I’m drinking my 2nd beer now. A Wheat beer. Turned out great. My first beer turned out good too, but the second brew is a step up. Enjoy, it’s a great hobby, and nothing like drinking your own beer.

Thanks all. Bit over whelmed of where to start to be honest lol. So much in depth info, but looking to find a basics idiots guide for the fundamentals of where to start and what is needed....will keep digging through the pages :)

A starter kit will get you going. All you need to do is pick a beer kit, brewing sugar or Dry Malt Extract and some priming sugar and off you go.
I bought a starter kit like this back in December and I have brewed 2 beer kits, a white wine kit and my 3rd beer kit is currently brewing away. It's good fun. There is a lot of info to digest at the beginning, but it's actually very simple. Good luck.

Some great videos from Love Brewing gave me the confidence to get up and running again after a 30+ year break. Restarted about 9 months ago, and have never looked back.

Thanks for the additional information and starter points to go on, starter set seems the most sensible place to start and will be giving the videos a look later on.
