Looking at this Sierra Nevada APA recipe. It lists Aroma hops for 30 minutes, but I don't understand what the 30 minutes means. Does it mean add them after the boiler is switched off, leave for 30 minutes, then turn the chiller on?

Could I dry hop in the secondary FV for a week instead once the inital fermentation is over?

aroma hops should be added after the wort has cooled to 80c or the oils will be driven off. Let te wort cool a little add the hops, wait a while chill then strain.

how long is a while? Experiment is the only answer I can really give. I wait about 10-15 mins then carry on chilling.

Dry hopping is good to

My recipe :D
As prolix said, begin chilling the ale, then add the aroma hops when the wort has cooled to 80C, leave them to soak for 30 minutes, then continue chilling :thumb:
