My brew fridge is in use for at least another 10 days or so, and would like to get another brew on. I was thinking of setting up a builders trub water bath / fish tank heater solution, controlled by an Inkbird. Can I dangle the temp probe into the water bath, or will that kill it?

They are waterproof and should be fine (at least my 308 probe is) but you can always use a bag if you want to be double safe

They are waterproof. I have two and they’ve both been used in my HLT......

Both still function as they should!

I've never had any luck keeping a constant temperature with mine. I've got 3, the dials on mine don't correspond with the temp they keep, or struggle to keep, always having to measure with a known good glass thermometer and adjust. Probably because they are cheap units. I'm hoping that turning them on to 'full on' and plugging them into the Inkbird and letting it control the temp will work. :?:
