Hd some sunpride apples and lychee juice for 49p a litre in homebargains sounded interesting so thought Id give a cider a go with it! Tastes a bit week and thin as only 12% apple and 2% lychee puree so also added 2L of Iceland applejuice

2L Apple Juice
2.5L Apple and Lychee Juice
1 heaped tsp yeast nutrient
1tsp pectalose
Cup of strong black tea (2 Teabags)
Reclaimed yest made 2 or 3 weeks ago from a ginger beer, believe it was a champagne yeat

OG came to 1.050 with out any added sugar! Worked out it contains about 475g sugar per 1G Juice so dont need to add any extra!

1st time using reclaimed yeast, but worried it wont start but lets see how it all goes!

Just put this into the secondary, the reclaimed yeast failed to repitched with some youngs champagne yeast and left fro 2 weeks. OG has dropped to 1.000. Got a mouthful when siphoning and am impressed all ready. Will leave for another few weeks on in the secondary then bottle and age for a few months.

Let ferment down to 1.00 making the brew around 6.5%. Bottled around 2 weeks ago, sweetened with 1tsp of splenda and 1tsp sugar to carbonate. Will leave for a few weeks then taste.

Had a cheeky taste when bottling, quite nice with out aging though very thin, would recommend using real lychee's in further turbo ciders

Found this recipe while searching for lychees, and the Mrs and I LOVE lychees so a lychee and apple turbo cider was a must!
We used half apple juice from conc, and half lychee juice (rubicon), and pitched with half packet of youngs cider yeast and it is currently bubbling.... I say bubbling, more like a yellow volcano, needing mopping hourly at the mo!

Hopefully it will turn out nice!

Just a quick question, you said you used 1tea spoon of splenda and 1 of sugar, was that per bottle (500ml?) or per demijohn?

I dont want to oversweeten or overcarbonate it.
