Anyone tried both the MJ wheat kit and the Festival German Weiss?

Just had both delivered and will be starting one on Friday when my Cooper's wheat kit is ready for kegging.

Thoughts on them? Does either stick out?

I did the Coopers Hefe Wheat kit. It was really good and compared well against shop bought Wheat beers. I have the Mangrove Jacks Bavarian Wheat beer bottled and almost finished secondary fermentation. I’ll leave it for another month before I try it. I have kept 4 or 5 bottles of the Coopers kit to compare them. Looking forward to trying it out.

Only done the Festival kit so can only comment on that, possibly one of the the best kit beers I've ever made certainly in terms of being indistinguishable from a commercial product. In fact I took the last two bottles of it I had round to a friends last weekend to drink in the garden, he's a bit of a wheat beer aficionado and he was stunned how good it was.

Currently have the Festival Peach Weiss limited edition carbonating, if it's as good as the standard Festival Weiss I'll be very happy.

As above, I’d say the Weiss is one of the best kits around if you like the style... it’s my favourite kit by far!

These along with a couple of comments on a homebrew fb group have made my mind up.

Did you change it at all? Add any DME?

@Jordang I drink wheat beers almost exclusively these days, with the odd lager thrown in. Once I get a stock built up I'm going to try some different style of kits athumb..
